##I was born in Washington state but moved to Fairfax County when I was in 8th grade. I graduated from college when I was 19 with a degree in econoics. I had numerous jobs in Washington, DC and Virginia before becoming an active volunteer while raising 4 children and hosting over 100 foster children.
I was active in numerous organizations including being state co-president of both the League of Women Voters and AAUW (the American Association of University Women). Since 2016, I've been very involved in peace organizations.
The US Peace Memorial Foundation lists many of the peace activists and peace organizations I'm involved with.
I've been most involved with the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom. WILPF was founded in 1915 by Jane Addams - I'm convener of the Jane Addams branch of WILPF US.
I'm also involved with World Beyond War and Project Enduring Peace(PEP).
I share my vision for the world with the Founding Mothers Movement.
Ralph Nader and Jill Stein are my models of Green Party leadership.##
